Welcome to Grane Engineering Museum
- Haslingden's hidden gem.
Grane Mill, which houses our museum, is rated 'exceptional' in the Lancashire Mills study by Historic England, meaning that it is of national or international importance. It is a rare survivor of the once numerous textile mills upon which the fortunes of the towns of Lancashire and Yorkshire were built.
Now we, and our partners The Heritage Trust for the North West, are conserving and adapting it to house a growing collection of steam technology, textile equipment and vintage vehicles.
This is our new website and it is still under construction. This homepage is currently the only one viewable. To visit our old website, which is not up to date, go to https://granemillhaslingden.wixsite.com/grane-mill
